Two years since first flight
Today, May 12th 2015, marks two years exactly since the Children’s Air Ambulance carried out its first transfer of a critically ill baby.
Theo Ratchford, now two, was flown from Scarborough Hospital to Hull Royal Infirmary after he was born needing emergency surgery. His full story is here.
Since the Children’s Air Ambulance launched, it’s completed over 130 vital missions, including over 85 baby transfers and over 50 team moves.
