Blue touch paper lit on firework nights
Spectacular Firework Champions fundraising nights are back – lighting up the night skies with stunning displays.
Mat Lawrence, Managing Director at Daventry-based MLE Pyrotechnics Limited which organises the Firework Champions events, has chosen to support The Children’s Air Ambulance for a second year as its official charity.
MLE Pyrotechnics, one of the country’s leading firework companies, is organising the sparkling displays at venues all over the UK during the summer. Three teams compete against each other and the audience decides on the winning display. Following the winners result the final display is from MLE.
People can bring a picnic or get some food and drink at the event then sit down in the grounds of a stunning stately home or castle with family or friends. You can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the music before a splendid evening of fireworks set to music.
Displays for 2016:
Two displays have already taken place at Newby Hall, Nr Ripon, Yorkshire and Stanford Hall, near Lutterworth.
The others are:
Saturday 6th August – Belvoir Castle, Grantham, Leicestershire
Saturday 20th August – Capesthorne Hall, Macclesfield, Cheshire
Saturday 3rd September – Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Herefordshire
Saturday 10th September – Ragley Hall, Alcester, Warwickshire

Richard Durham and Heather Burton, volunteers for The Children’s Air Ambulance, will be at each of the events with a gazebo and will be on hand to give information about The Children’s Air Ambulance, about volunteering for the charity, selling merchandise and doing a bucket collection.
At some of the venues there will be a raffle. Sytner BMW are kindly returning for a second year to Belvoir Castle and Rybrook Warwick BMW will be attending for the first time at Ragley Hall on Sept 10th. You will get the chance to see some of their cars whilst waiting for the fireworks and they have kindly donated some prizes for the Childrens Air Ambulance raffle. You can get the chance to win a BMW or Mini for the weekend whilst donating to a fantastic cause.
