Charity football match raises funds to save children’s lives!

Doncaster Business for the Community held its Business Community Cup football match at the Keepmoat stadium and raised an incredible £5,000 for the Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA).

The atmosphere was electric as the Business Allstars took on the Commercial Legends in a nail-biting match for charity. The 90 minutes saw high quality football and a 3-3 draw, before the game went to penalty shootout where the Allstars came out victorious!

The day didn’t stop after the Allstars’ victory – families also enjoyed a variety of entertainment including a kid’s penalty competition and live music from local indie rock band The Outcharms – all in support of TCAA.

Anthony Temperton, Director and Trustee of Doncaster Business for the Community said “Feedback from players and families, was this was the best event yet. A combination of live music, fast-paced football, great competition prizes and activities for the kids helped us to raise £5,000 for the Children’s Air Ambulance based at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.”

“We chose The Children’s Air Ambulance as one of our main charities to not only fundraise and support their valuable work but to create awareness of what they do and how they save young lives.”

Sharon Evans, Community Fundraising Officer for TCAA added: “We thank DB4C for their support towards our charity which has one of its bespoke helicopters based at Doncaster Sheffield Airport. The amount they raised is incredible and will help towards getting critically ill babies and children to the lifesaving treatment they need.”
