88 Tractors raise over £2k
Tractor enthusiasts in Castlegate have raised an incredible £2,015 after 88 different tractors took to the streets and held a 32 mile long road run.
The annual Castlegate Tractor Road Run in Memory of Chris Elliot decided to raise money for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance after they came to the rescue of one of their tractor men. Mr JP Webster was badly injured when a mini heston bale fell on him. He joined the tractor run to help raise money.
The road run weaved through the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, including a stop for tea and cakes at Harhurst Farm Cafe, and a visit to The Bulls Head Inn.
David Brocklehurst, a volunteer for DLRAA in Derbyshire, went along to collect the cheque from the event organisers on Sunday 31st May.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise over £2,000 for DLRAA.
