Over £3,000 raised with 50 Shades of Grey event
50 Shades of Grey came to Fawsley Hall on 11th December 2014 in aid of Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) – 50 shades of grey horses, that is.
The Pytchley Hunt organised a ‘grey day’ to raise money for WNAA, with 79 riders bringing their grey horses to the historic estate for a day of Christmas cake, port, and Northamptonshire’s beautiful countryside.
Over £3,000 was raised for WNAA’s vital service, with a second event earlier in the year bringing Pytchley Hunt’s total donations to over £4,200 – enough to cover two missions.
Tracy Grunwell, partnership manager for WNAA, said: “Equestrian calls make up the second largest volume of calls we receive. As our charity receives no government support, events like Pytchley’s grey day really do make a difference. We would like to say a big thank you to Pytchley Hunt for all their support.”
Serena McCall, the Pytchley Hunt’s Secretary, said: “We have always been grateful for the work of the air ambulance. Thankfully we have not needed to call them very often but their support is very reassuring. This is our second event this year to raise money for them bringing the total donation so far to over £4,200. We are delighted with the continued generosity of our followers.”
