Helicopter lands on school playing fields

Pupils were given lessons on the work of our unique service when our helicopter landed on school playing fields for a very special visit.

We landed at King Henry VIII School site in Coventry today and prep school children got the chance to meet the crew and find out more about what we do.

Chief Executive Officer Andy Williamson had earlier given them an introduction to the Children’s Air Ambulance on Friday after the school carried out some brilliant fundraising for our charity.

All youngsters got the chance to check out the heli and meet the crew – but then a call came in which meant we had to fly off on an urgent mission to transfer twins in the north of the country.

Each transfer costs on average £2,800.
