Charity golf tournament raises £1,250
Sharon Currie and her husband Ray have raised £1,250 for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) by holding their annual charity golf tournament.
The Mickleover couple hold the tournament in collaboration with family and friends from the Masons Arms public house to commemorate Sharon’s father. This year, they generously selected DLRAA as one of the charities to receive a donation.
The cheque was presented on 18th November 2014 at the Masons Arms in Mickleover. Nigel Birch, a volunteer for DLRAA, accepted the donation on behalf of the charity.
Nigel said: “I was delighted to be presented with this generous donation from Sharon, her husband Ray, family members, and the friends and supporters they have at the Masons Arms. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no government funding. Support from people like Sharon really is invaluable, and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying.”
From everyone at DLRAA, thank you Sharon, Ray, and everyone else who made this donation possible.
