Thank You To Coventry Canal Society
The Children’s Air Ambulance
Would like to say a huge thank you to Coventry Canal Society.
On 8th September, Coventry Canal Society had a lock wind day at Hawkesbury Junction. They were controlling the lock and receiving donations, whilst also selling cakes. They were able to raise an excellent £500 on the day.
Alan Boon, President of Coventry Canal Society, said “We are very happy to have raised £500 for such a vital service. The Children’s Air Ambulance is completely reliant on donations from members of the public and company donations, so we are delighted to make a sizeable contribution.
I would like to thank the Greyhound Pub at Hawkesbury Junction for their support and allowing us to fundraise in the pub, and for supplying us with the plates and napkins. I would also like to thank all volunteers on the day, the cake makers for providing the cakes and the Canal & River Trust for allowing us to use the welcome station. Finally, I would also like to thank everybody who contributed and made a donation”.
The Children’s Air Ambulance would like to reiterate that and is grateful to all at Coventry Canal Society and everyone involved for your support.
